Mississippi Valley State University's Transportation Services strives to assist the university with its mission through a plan to effectively and safely move students, faculty and staff to destinations locally or around Southeast region. This department utilizes the latest equipment available to accomplish this mission, all the while striving for continual improvement in current services and expanding for the future.
The Automotive Shop performs most repairs on University vehicles, preventive maintenance, auto body repairs and refinishing, and state inspections for MVSU-owned vehicles. These services are charged to departmental budgets. The Shop is located at the Facilities Management Building Staff work from 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. each working day. For convenience, the shop will pick up MVSU vehicles from any campus location, and usually return them prior to the start of the next working day depending upon the availability of parts.
