Rules for the Million Step Challenge below:
What device can I use?
- You can use the device of your choice as long as you use the same device to track your step the whole challenge. You will not be allowed to bring in more than one device to show two different step counts.
What are the tracking dates?
- The starting date for the challenge is from FEBRUARY 1, 2019, to JUNE 30, 2019. If you started tracking within this time frame, we will accept those steps.
- We will NOT track steps in the month of JULY. The challenge will pick back up AUGUST 1, 2019. For example, if you end with 5000 steps on June 30th, you will continue from there with your 5000 steps on AUGUST 1, 2019 until you get to your challenge goal.
How do I turn in my step count?
- You can email your step counts to shayvonne.ford@mvsu.edu. You may also bring a printed copy to the Office of University. Advancement (Sutton Administration Building, 3rd floor)
- You can turn in your step counts daily, weekly, bi-weekly or once a month—it is your choice.
- You may send in your numbers or send in a report copy. For example, the Fitbit would send a weekly report of your steps to you. That report can be emailed to Mrs. Ford, or you can take a picture of your device with your total steps.
How will I know when I reach a step goal to receive an incentive?
- We will contact you once we notice that you have reached a goal, or you can contact Mrs. Ford once you know you have reached a goal.
- To receive your incentive you will have to go to Mrs. Ford at the Office of University Advancement (Sutton Administration Building, 3rd floor) with your device and show your over all step counts. WITHOUT your device you will NOT receive your incentive.
How do I turn in my step count?
