English Club sponsors activities for students who are interested in reading, writing, debating, and any projects related to English language and literature. The purpose of the Mississippi Valley State University English Club is to promote language awareness on the campus of Mississippi Valley State University. Membership shall be granted to any student currently enrolled in the University and is majoring or minoring in English or English Education.
The English Club also works with programs in the Department of English and Foreign Languages, such as Zelma T. Howard Lecture Series, to host many events such as poetry and book readings as well as academic lectures.
The Mississippi Valley State University English Club prides itself in its dedicated study of literature and composition, working diligently to generate awareness and understanding of the lingual arts.
