The Department of English and Foreign Languages hosts the MVSU chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, the oldest honor fraternity in the United States. Recognized throughout the academy for its history of distinguished membership, Sigma Tau Delta is selective. Membership is offered based on the student’s high academic achievement and service. Our chapter, in working with the English Club and the Zelma T. Howard Lecture Series, holds both scholarly and social events throughout the year.
