Mississippi Valley State University offers courses of study leading to the awarding of the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Music Education, Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Science, Master of Social Work, and Master of Business Administration.
Double Majors
Students who matriculate at Mississippi Valley State University may declare two majors. Both majors may be from the same college or different colleges. The two majors will be listed on the student's official transcript. The University also grants a dual degree to students who have met all the general core educational requirements and the specific requirements for the two major programs. Upon the completion of requirements for both degree simultaneously, the student will be awarded a separate diploma for each degree earned.
The University usually grants only one undergraduate degree per individual; however, a student may have more than one major. In such cases, both areas of major study will be listed on the official University Trancript. To complete a double major, the requirements of each separate major must be satisfied fully and a minimum of 30 credit hours must be earned in each major field.
