The Department of Natural Sciences and Environmental Health (NSEH) comprises two undergraduate programs and two distinctive graduate programs. The undergraduate programs offered include Biology and Chemistry. The graduate programs include a Master of Science in Bioinformatics and a Master of Science in Environmental Public Health. Faculty members in the department are engaged in teaching science courses and conducting research in their respective fields, which span specialties such as aquatic animal physiology, cytogenetics, ecology, entomology, nanoparticle synthesis and application, natural products and their anticancer potential, molecular biology, toxicology, biosynthesis, analytical chemistry, and bio-environmental assessment.

 

Degree Programs

The Department of Natural Sciences and Environmental Health offers (1) Bachelor of Science degrees (with associated minors) in Biology, Chemistry, Biology/Chemistry double major and (2) Master of Science degrees in Bioinformatics and Environmental Public Health.
