Edmonds, a seasoned professional with an impressive track record in higher education administration, brings a wealth of experience and passion to this pivotal role at MVSU. His appointment marks the beginning of a new era of growth and innovation in the university's recruitment efforts.
Edmonds, a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, previously served as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at North Carolina Central University. With a background in recreation administration and a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration, Edmonds has consistently demonstrated his commitment to student success, particularly within Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). His leadership experience and dedication to advancing HBCUs make him a valuable addition to MVSU's leadership team.
In his new role, Edmonds aims to build on MVSU's strong legacy of academic excellence and accessibility. He envisions an exciting and dynamic recruitment strategy that attracts top-tier talent from diverse backgrounds and ensures a welcoming and supportive environment for students throughout their educational journey.

Edmonds’ experience extends beyond the realm of higher education. Following an extensive stint as a government contractor in Bagram, Afghanistan, and Jalalabad, Edmonds established a non-profit organization dedicated to providing school supplies to the less fortunate on an annual and need basis.
This work exemplifies his dedication to service and belief in education's transformative power. His background in creating outreach initiatives for underserved populations is a testament to his commitment to helping students from all walks of life succeed. In addition, his extensive involvement with national organizations, including Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., underscores his leadership and community engagement on a broader scale.
