Important University Update Regarding Campus Operations
As part of our continued efforts to provide a safe and healthy work environment by implementing COVID-19 best practices as outlined by local, state and federal agencies, the following measures have been put in place for Mississippi Valley State University in response to a confirmed positive test of an MVSU employee:
- Our facilities department, along with a certified cleaning company, will revisit campus buildings and offices to re-sanitize and disinfect. This process will begin this afternoon.
- To allow time for the re-sanitization and disinfection of campus buildings to be completed, only essential staff members (i.e. University Police, Facilities) are expected to report to campus tomorrow morning (June 15, 2020). If you have questions regarding your status, please contact your director or area vice president.
- We have implemented temperature checks at campus entrances and are reiterating the importance of wearing face masks, practicing social distancing and following other important steps outlined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to help mitigate the transmission COVID-19.
Please continue to monitor your University e-mail and MVSU’s COVID-19 webpage for additional COVID-19 related updates.
