MVSU to offer First-time Freshmen “Valley First” Scholarship

Mississippi Valley State University is excited to introduce a new scholarship to encourage upcoming first-year college students to elevate their education by enrolling at MVSU.
Dr. Jerryl Briggs Sr. announced the Valley First Scholarship initiative, which will offer scholarships to high school students who enroll as first-time, full-time freshmen for Fall 2023.

Mississippi Valley State University Welcomes Visiting Fulbright Scholar

Mississippi Valley State University has been selected to host a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence from India to teach and pursue research in the Department of Education during the 2022-2023 academic year.
Dr. Vandana Saxena, an Education, Diversity, and Inclusion expert at CIE, University of Delhi, was selected for the Fulbright award by the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.
MVSU concludes LSMAMP Summer Bridge Program

Mississippi Valley State University held its annual Louis Stokes Mississippi Alliance for Minority Participation (LSMAMP) Summer Bridge Program this summer. The Program was held for four weeks and designed to help students transition from high school to college life and prepare them for academic rigor and life skills.
