Congratulations to Mississippi Valley State University's Zeta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., for being awarded Chapter of the Year. Voted in by the State of Mississippi Caucus of Kappa Alpha Psi, the Zeta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi has been named the 2023-2024 Chapter of the Year.

MVSU Scholars attend Presidential Forum for HBCUs in Atlanta

Marking a significant milestone in Mississippi Valley State University’s history, MVSU scholars had the honor of participating in the April 2024 Presidential Forum for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), held in Atlanta, GA.

This distinguished forum has been a beacon of excellence and collaboration for the past two decades, with its inception dating back to 2000.

MVSU Students attend ADMI Conference

Mississippi Valley State University students competed with and against STEM students nationwide during the 2024 Association of Computer and Information Science/Engineering Departments at Minority Institutions (ADMI) symposium, which was hosted in Atlanta, Georgia.

Themed "Science Gateways and High-Performance Computing."

The symposium highlighted undergraduate and graduate research interested in computing innovations.

Mississippi Valley State University's Student Government Association President, Cajanique Ollie, received a warm invitation from the Vice President of America, Kamala Harris, to attend the HBCU Leaders Retreat on February 29, 2024, at the White House in Washington, D.C. 

MVSU to Host 26th Annual Constance G. Bland Women In Science & Technology Conference

According to research by the American Association of University Women (AAUW), women comprise only 34 percent of the workforce in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The gender gaps are exceptionally high in some of the fastest-growing and highest-paid jobs of the future, like computer science and engineering.
