ITTA BENA, Miss.—Are you interested in graduate school but not sure where to start or the opportunities available? Mississippi Valley State University is offering the opportunity for individuals to explore different graduate programs available at various universities throughout the country during its Graduate and Professional Schools (GAPS) Day.
The annual event, organized by the MVSU Career Services Center, will be hosted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 17 in the R. W. Harrison Complex. Those attending the event are encouraged to dress in professional attire. The event is free and open to the general public.
According to Director of Career Services Essie Bryant, more than 40 schools and graduate programs from across the nation will be in attendance to provide attendees with information about their postgraduate options.
“Communications, science, medical, and law programs are just a few of the programs that we will have available for attendees to learn more about,” Bryant said.
She said the event is designed for anyone with a bachelor’s degree who is looking to further their education within their respective field.
“Many students have benefited from this event in the past, so we encourage them to come out and get informed about their next step—whether it’s at Valley or another university,” she said. “We hope to see you there!”
