Washington Named MVSU Humanities Teacher of the Year
Assistant Professor Barbara J.P. Washington has been selected by the Office of Academic Affairs at Mississippi Valley State University as the Humanities Teacher of the Year. The award is given by the Mississippi Humanities Council.
Washington will deliver a lecture titled, "Teaching as a Profession/Passion" on Thursday, November 3 at 11 a.m. in the Business Education Auditorium on the Itta Bena campus.

Alpha Phi Sigma Induction Ceremony of Department of Criminal Justice will be held on October 25, 2016 in the Social Science Auditorium at 6:00 p.m.
Fall 2016 – Mississippi Court of Appeals at MVSU
The Mississippi Court of Appeals will hear an oral argument of an appealed criminal case on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU). The hearing will take place at the MVSU’s Sutton Building Auditorium 103. The hearing is coordinated by the Department of Criminal Justice’s Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society, Zeta Tau Chapter and in part with the Mississippi Court of Appeals “Courts on the Road” program.
