The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning named Dr. Jerryl Briggs as Acting President of Mississippi Valley State University at its meeting held today in Jackson. Dr. Briggs currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the university.

Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU) announces the sponsorship of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). The meals will be served at the H.M. Ivy Cafeteria on the campus of MVSU.

The program is designed to serve eligible children participating in the Upward Bound Program this summer. Approximately 150 high school students will attend the summer program located on the MVSU campus from June 11 through July 14.

Art Across Mississippi: Twelve Exhibitions, Twelve Communities

The doors of Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU) will be open for freshmen and transfer students who have been accepted into the university as part of a program hosted by University College.

The event is called Valley Bound New Student Early Registration and it is comprised of four sessions held for new students in the William Sutton Administration Building from 7:45 a.m.- 4 p.m. on June 16, July 14, July 21 and August 3.
