Mississippi Valley State University is in the final stage of moving to an on-line Housing System. We will provide students with complete instructions on how to apply for housing at MVSU. MVSU will begin accepting housing applications for the 2018-2019 academic year soon. (Target Date: March 21, 2018)
How To Apply For Housing
All residents must apply for housing using our online application via MyHousing
As of January 2017, paper housing applications no longer exist at Mississippi Valley State University and are not accepted.
For All First-Year and New Students:
New students to Mississippi Valley State University receive housing information upon their admission to the University with their Admissions Acceptance Package from the Office of Admission or the Office of Residential Life/Student Housing.
A non-refundable application fee ($75) is required of all new residential students. Applications for housing for new students are due August 1 for Fall applicants and December 1st for Spring applicants.

For Returning Resident Students:
During the Spring semester, current residential students who plan to return to housing for the following academic year have the opportunity to select their room and roommate during the Room Selection Process (Keep My Same Room Day, Priority Room Selection Day, or General Room Selection). Only residents that are registered by the established deadline will be able to participate in Keep My Room Day or Priority Room Selection Day.
Late residents will be able to participate in the General Room Selection (residents are able to select their building, room, and roommate). After General Room Selection ends (June 1), residents may still apply for housing, however, based on availability, a room and roommate is selected for you.
For Commuter Students:
During the Spring semester, current MVSU commuter students, who are interested in on-campus housing for the following academic year, have the opportunity to select their room and roommate during the General Room Selection.
