Mission
MVSU Sustainability Initiative will create awareness, facilitate transformative dialogue and provide opportunities for meaningful activities geared toward the development of a sustainable campus and community. The initiative will focus on the importance of sustainability; provide support for the on-campus MVSU Recycling Center; offer educational opportunities for the campus and community; and to use revenue generated from the Recycling Center to provide scholarships for students participating in greening/ sustainability initiatives.

Get Involved
Work Study
Sustainability Initiative employs students who work to make campus operations more sustainable, drive sustainability initiatives, and educate the campus community about sustainability issues. Currently, there are 4 students working in the office. As positions become available, they are posted through the Office of Financial Aid.
Student Internships

Where to Take Your Recycling
You can find recycling bins all throughout campus and in most buildings. Contact LaFecia Hoover at 662.254.3098 or email lmhoover@mvsu.edu to request more bins.
Curbside bins are also available behind the Industrial Technology Building to drop off recyclables (aluminum cans, cardboard, paper, plastic).
